Incredible and wondrous scenes, sounds and explosions of colors, incomprehensible wonders of nature, the most fascinating places on earth …. WATERFALLS! These natural phenomena were created thousands of years, and by their origin may be tectonic, erosive and accumulative. Some of them was created by man, artificially, wanting to beautify the environment. They all have in common that they attract the attention of the tourists, they are the paradise for photographers, adventure lovers, but also for all the rest of the world. And here is where are the ten most beautiful and famous waterfalls on the planet!
1. Havasu Falls, Arizona
Havasu Falls in Arizona is paradise on Earth. It is an incredible waterfall located in the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Even though it’s not facile to hike there, this place is definitely worth a visit.Havasu Falls is a component of the Havasupai American Indian Reservation. Havasupai betokens “people of the blue-green water”, an apt description when you optically discern the lustrous, natural dihydrogen monoxide colour. 5. The Laja Falls, Chile
The Laja Falls or in Spanish it is called Salto del Laja authentically is a waterfall located in the Laja River in southcentral Chile. Laja Falls contains four horseshoe shaped falls one on each arm of Laja River, and the tallest is 35 m and the easternmost fall, but the western falls are 20 m tall. Total width of all four falls approximately 455 m. In the summer the Salto del Laja chutes originate abundant foam that, by the effect of the solar rays, engenders uncountable rainbows. The circumventing landscape is composed by vegetation of the steppe-type, which complements its comeliness.
Shifen is prominent for the Shifen Waterfall, a 20 meter tall waterfall that engenders a rainbow as it splashes into the lake, widely regarded as the most scenic in all of Taiwan. The train station, pristinely built for conveying coal, was built right alongside the Shifen Old Streets and today stands as a reminder of Taiwan's history and culture. Gullfoss (translated as "Golden Falls") may be Iceland's most popular waterfall, and we can certainly testify to that statement given how it was always busy during our visits. This was in part because it was one of three major attractions on the Golden Circle Route (or Tour) that includes Geysir and Þingvellir as a very doable day trip out of Reykjavík. Nonetheless, the waterfall's popularity was well-deserved because it was one of the more unique ones we've seen.
10.Plitvice Waterfalls , Croatia
Plitvice NATIONAL PARK in Croatia is considered to be one of the most beautiful natural sights in Europe. Due to its natural beauty and significance, this system of 16 interlinked lakes and a large forest complex around it were set aside as a national park in 1949. In 1979 the park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
