Football today is synonymous with tattoos, every team has at least one player sporting some body art and such tattoo. footballers have gone a great way in showing how awesome tattoos are to thousands of adhering fans. Let's see these 10 footballers whose love of ink on their body.

1. NIGEL DE JONG

Nigel De Jong with a nickname like “The Destroyer” you can expect De Jong to be the guy most likely to bring you to the ground, and that is most certainly the case. The tough tackling Dutchman has played as a defensive midfielder for Ajax, Hamburg, Manchester City and now Milan. De Jong carries a reputation as a hard working player though it his tattoos that stand out to many. Unlike a lot of other footballers De Jong’s ink has taken on a blend of geometric and tribal designs to create a truly awesome set of tattoos! like his hand there is an beautiful tattoo flower on it.

2. DAVID BECKHAM

When you talk about football, You never forget the name of David Beckham who's  play for Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain. The dynamic midfielder almost single handedly got tattoos trending in the worlds most popular sport. 3. TIM HOWARD

4. SERGIO RAMOS

If we talk about Real Madrid we never forget one of best defender in the world of football. Sergio Ramos has been played for Sevilla FC in 2004 and 2005 he has been moving to play for Real Madrid as defender which wearing number 4 now. He is also having a strength body and meaning full of his tattoo most significantly, he dedicated each of his biceps to those killed in the terrorist attacks in the USA on 11 September 2001 and in Spain on 11 March 2004.”

5. EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI

The handsome winger Lavezzi, Who is playing for Paris Saint-Germain Football Club. Lavezzi takes his work and his tattoos seriously, sporting a collection of portraits of Catholic symbols, including the Virgin Mary on his forearm and Jesus on his chest. The most prominent is a dedicated on his ribs to his fellow Argentinean and football idol, Diego Maradona, heading a ball, but a colourful ink of an evil clown on his shoulder is difficult to overlook.

6. ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC

The Swedish Man "Zlatan Ibrahimovic" but we have to give him a shout-out. He has it all going on – a red dragon on his back, a Japanese Koi fish (chosen because it swims against the grain, like Zlatan), a Native American feather on his back, ‘Only God Can Judge Me’ on his rib cage, an ace of hearts playing card on his belly. Also This Sweden striker was showing his support for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) by tattooing the names of 50 hungry people helped by the charity onto his body. Apparently he’s addicted to tattoos.

7. DANIEL ALVES


The full name Daniel Alves da silva who is wearing number 6 and plays for Barcelona and Brazil, so he’s experienced a lot of success, but because he’s a man of few words, he lets the tattoos do the talking. His arms are adorned with Catholic images and dedications to his family, and the odd mess up: mainly his ink of his ex-wife Dina on his shoulder. They split in 2011. The real masterpiece, though, is his son’s name emblazoned in giant script across his chest.” 

8. KEVIN-PRINCE BOATENG


The midfielder and Ghana National Team, Kevin Prince Boateng has an AC Milan tattoo on one arm and a map of Africa with Ghana inscribed inside on the other. He also has an unusual tribute to his recurring knee injuries, a spider’s web inked on his left knee. He told a German newspaper it had a certain symbolism, because a spider web always comes back – and so it is with the knee.”

9. DANIEL AGGER

The Danish born defender rose to prominence at Brondby before making a name for himself at Liverpool 2006-2014, strong, determined and skilful Agger is the perfect centre back, outside football Agger is equally as skilful with a tattoo machine! 10. THIERRY HENRY

Did you remember the player who spent the prime of his career in London and Spain, but it is his current home of New York City that takes up the majority of his tattoo real estate is Thierry Henry. The Red Bulls star's left arm sleeve depicts the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and a typical New York street scene. His forearm also features a large image of his baby daughter Tea. The impressive design was created by celebrity studio Bang Bang NYC.
